Dope Lemon announces Golden Wolf tour dates for Australia and New Zealand

Dope Lemon Tour ANZ

Dope Lemon is set to return home for a run of shows in Australia and New Zealand through winter 2025.

Laidback vocals and effortless grooves litter the catalogue of Angus Stone spin-off project Dope Lemon. Like disco just emerged from a Jamaican Dutch oven and found folk swinging from the palm leaves. If you’ve been seduced by the likes of “Hey You and “Uptown Folks”, or latest singles “Sugarcat” and “Electric Green Lambo”, as I have then the May 1 release of fifth album Golden Wolf is no doubt already marked on your calendar.

Now you can add some tour dates, too.

As part of a world tour, Dope Lemon will be cruising through some of Australia’s most iconic venues, as well as sailing over the ditch to titillate our Kiwi cousins. A night in the cold of winter sure to warm your ears.

With five albums in the bank ahead of this tour, alongside his works under the Lady of the Sunshine, Angus Stone and Angus & Julia Stone monikers, Dope Lemon has some catalogue to choose from. You’d expect the new Golden Wolf album to take a central position in the setlist.

What’s been made public thus far suggests a bit more of a light disco/electronic influence to the folk that defines the Angus sound. There’s also some experimentation with organisation that’s going to challenge long-time fans. But so he should!

Stay tuned for more on the new album when it drops and in the interim, check out our review from a previous tour.
