Catfish & The Bottlemen, East India Youth and more open the British Music Embassy at SXSW

His great mop of brown hair flopping about his face, Van McCann bellows at the crowd "I can't believe you know all the words Texas!". Catfish & The Bottlemen is only a bar into their opener, "Rango", but sure enough, the crowd is echoing every line, rendering McCann's job virtually obsolete.

TV on the Radio, Ludacris and Z-Trip bring SXSW Interactive to an end for 2015 at Stubb's BBQ.

After five days of talks, events and parties (...lots of parties), the Interactive portion of SXSW came to an end tonight with a massive party at Austin's iconic Stubb's BBQ outdoor amphitheater, presented by Media Temple. The drinks and BBQ flowed as Z-Trip, Ludacris and TV on the Radio performed in front of some two thousand lucky attendees. Relatively intimate for all, no doubt.

Something For Kate, Clare Bowditch and Darren Middleton for 'Something For John' benefit gig at The Corner.

Musician John Hedigan is known to many fans around the country for his work with Something For Kate, Paul Dempsey, Clare Bowditch and at the moment, he's going through quite a difficult time. Currently undergoing treatment for a brain tumour, Hedigan is being surrounded by the love and support of family and friends. One of the ways in which he is going to be supported is through a special benefit show put on by Something For Kate, Bowditch and Darren Middleton - 'Something For John'.

Run the Jewels bring the Funny Or Die Hideout series at SXSW 2015 to a close!

One of the most sought after parties on SXSW's Monday night schedule was the Funny Or Die closing party, mixing up comedy and live music to wrap up what's been a successful presence in Austin for the comedy company. With Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart's new film Get Hard premiering at SXSW Film just hours before the event started, the crowd gathered at The Belmont was already crammed in and keen to party.

Snoop Dogg announces global search to find new artists to collaborate with

In teaming up with music collaboration platform The Naked Song, hip hop icon Snoop Dogg becomes the first established artist to come on board an initiative to scour the globe in search for collaborations which probably would never have happened otherwise. Snoop's partnership with will see him look for the best new performers, producers, and songwriters from around the world who can offer up the freshest beats, riff, hooks, and even entire songs for him to work with.

Guy Sebastian announced as Australia's representative at Eurovision Song Contest 2015

SBS announced today that singer/songwriter and ARIA Award winner Guy Sebastian will represent Australia at the 60th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Vienna, Austria and broadcast on SBS from Wednesday May 20 to Sunday May 24.

Melbourne's TRAM SESSIONS partners with Levi's; announces REMi for next session!

Melbourne's Tram Sessions have announced that they have partnered up with Levi's today, in a reveal that has also seen the group of creatives name hip-hop wunderkind REMi as their next feature artist. The sessions have been running successfully for some time now, putting a variety of artists into the intimate confines of the Melbourne tram system and filming some definite candid performances. Published online, the popularity for the Tram Sessions series has grown exponentially, with previous artists including The Basics, Vance Joy, Passenger, Shaun Kirk (pictured) and Davey Lane.

Over 200 new acts - including Tigertown - added to SXSW 2015!

It's only a little over two weeks until SXSW insanity kicks off, but still the artist announcements keep rolling in. In the latest round of additions, Sydney band Tigertown get the call up - the only Australians in this round - alongside over 200 international acts. MS MR, Charles Bradley, Milky Chance, and Hamilton Leithauser all feature. An interview with Wynonna Judd has also been added to the Music Conference.
