Welcome to another edition of The AU Preview! What should you expect to see during the month? We’ve got it covered…

1. Sydney Film Festival (June 6th – 17th)

Unlike most film festivals during the year (ie French, German, Italian, etc), the annual Sydney Film Festival encompasses all languages, genres and eras to suit the fussiest of people and their tastes.

For more information, you can visit their site here: http://sff.org.au/

2. Top 12 Albums of 2012 (so far)

There has been an overwhelming supply of great albums over the last six months, but the big question is, what are our favourites and why? During the month, we will reveal our list. Watch this space!

The man himself will be touring the country during the month to celebrate the release of his highly anticipated new album, “We Keep The Beat, Found The Sound, See The Need, Start The Heart”, out now! Don’t miss out!

5. Tickets go on sale for Martika on June 14 at 9am

We’re excited by the fact that ’80s singer Martika will be gracing us with her presence for the first time ever for a debut tour in Australia during September. Better late than never, as they say.

Tickets can be purchased through Ticketek next week: http://www.ticketek.com

6. Metric release their new album, Synthetica on June 15

The long awaited, much anticipated full length record from Emily Haines, Jimmy Shaw, Joshua Winstead and Joules Scott Key will finally be available in less than one week! Not long to go now…

7. Fiona Apple’s new LP, The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver Of The Screw, And Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do, will be released on June 22
