Music Video Monday feat. Friendly Fires, Balkans, Owl Eyes, Set Sail, Timothy Nelson and the Infidels & Ball Park Music

We’re back with another six videos for Music Video Monday. We kick things off with our video of the week. It’s Set Sail performing “Bittersweet Symphony” in their underwear at Desigual London.

Here’s the back story from the band: Barcelona label Desigual’s “Come half-naked, Leave dressed” London promotion promising free outfits to the first 100 people to arrive in their underwear was visited this morning by globetrotting Australian band “Set Sail.” There were nearly 300 people queuing half-naked in the rain when the band arrived and played two songs for the rain-drenched crowd before counting down to the doors opening and serenading the customers as they entered Desigual’s West End store.

The store then let the band in and promised them outfits like the rest but the offer was rescinded an hour later by Desigual management and replaced with an offer of a free t-shirt each, which the band declined in favor leaving the store as they came – in their underwear. Set Sail’s drummer Josh May stated: “We reckoned it would be pointless leaving with a shirt and no pants, might as well go out loud and proud.”

Next we have the gloriously catchy “Hawaiian Air” by Friendly Fires

Balkans have been on a serious ride since their self-titled album dropped just a few weeks ago via Atlanta label, Double Phantom Records. Most recently, Spin Magazine chose them as one of their 5 Best New Artists for June and Impose Magazine debuted their new video for “Flowers Everywhere”. Here’s what all the fuss is about:

We return to the local scene with Owl Eyes and her new track “Faces”. Created by the multi-talented Gen Kay and Antuong Nguyen of Melbourne base design/art/video collective Moop Jaw, see if you can spot the Miami Horror and Adam Curley cameos.

The local love continues with our final two videos of the week Timothy Nelson & The Infidels with “Run For Cover” and
Ball Park Music with “Rich People Are Stupid”. Touche.
