Attendance at the Adelaide Big Day Out was way down this year, but the enthusiasm level of the crowd was high. A scaled down show, minus the eastern states headliner Kayne West and one main stage gave this festival a more intimate feel. Sunday nights can be difficult, especially this time of year. Before the ‘Gurge took to the stage at around 10.30pm the crowd were looking pretty lethargic and maybe even a bit it’s-past-my-bedtime grumpy.
