This year's Lost Paradise festival is set to be fantastic, with the official first artist announcement being revealed. The three day camping festival is going to be held in the Glenworth Valley over New Year's, offering festival goers a special experience of live music, arts, some brilliant food and drink options and more to bring in 2016 in unique style. The 2015 Beyond the Valley Festival has confirmed its line up of Australian and international artists today, along with details of its new location and event information - pack your bags for this one, it's going to be killer! The New Year's Eve party is going to be held amongst the lush surrounds of Lardner Park, only 90 minutes driving distance from Melbourne City, and will feature the likes of Northeast Party House, Jamie xx, Pusha T, RL Grime and more performing!

Single of the Day: Jamie XX ft. Young Thug & Popcaan “I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)” (2015)

Ahead of the release of his debut LP In Colour, Jamie XX has spoiled us with a fifth song as a preview. It’s an upbeat dance track called “I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)”, and it features Young Thug and Popcaan. Its certainly making us keen to hear the album in full, which came out on Friday. The release date for Jamie XX’s debut In Colour is forever getting closer, and if the 4 songs and 1 video he’s released already off it isn’t enough, he’s just put out the video for album opener “Gosh”. It's a stunningly beautiful video that sits perfectly with the atmosphere of the song. Watch it here:

New Music Video: Jamie XX “Loud Places" ft. Romy (2015)

The new Jamie XX track “Loud Places” features The XX member Romy, and it's really great. As expected, it has a great resemblance to The XX, with a bit more emphasis on Jamie XX's style of lowdown house music. "Loud Places" is the first official single from his debut album In Colour, which is due out at the end of May. In Colour features other member of The XX Oliver Sim, as well as Popcaan, Good Times and Young Thug. Watch the new video for "Loud Places" below

The second day of the Falls Festival at Lorne sees the rest of the campers arrive to scattered showers and winds which saw a few tents blow down. Down on the Valley Stage things were heating up with artists such as Milky Chance and Australia's own Temper Trap crowd favorites. DZ Deathrays stepped in at the last minute with Jamie XX and Big Freedia closing the night. The mood was expectant for what the rest of the festival would bring. Photos by John Goodridge.

Festival Review: Falls Festival Day Two ft. The Temper Trap + Jamie xx - Lorne, Victoria (29.12.14)

While the Grand Theatre took centre stage last night, Monday at Falls Festival Lorne was all about partying in the Valley. A great line up of bands and artists performed through the day and night, not letting the freezing cold weather and rain deter them - the crowd wasn't letting the dropping temperature get them either.

The huge New Year's Day festival set to take over Sydney, Field Day, has dropped a juicy line up for its next installment, featuring the likes of Alt-J, SBTRKT, Bastille and more! Announced on Triple J this afternoon, the Field Day line up boasts some huge Australian and international names from the dance/electro, indie and hip-hop realms, offering up one hell of a party for punters keen to kick on well after the New Year's Eve celebrations have wound down.

Festival Review: St Jerome's Laneway Festival - Harts Mill, Port Adelaide (07.02.14)

It's another blistering hot day in Adelaide and again, the festival lovers were out in force despite the sun beating down on us all. This time, the St Jerome's Laneway Festival was held down in Port Adelaide for the first time, a result of a much needed venue change from the UniSA campus site in previous years. Many were apprehensive, given the distance from the city, but I think the Harts Mill site is going to be a great venue to host the festival, with some small changes.
