HAIM

New Music Video: Calvin Harris ft. HAIM "Pray to God" (2015)

Calvin Harris continues to demonstrate a knack of producing some great collaborations with different artists across the board. Whether it's channelling Florence Welch's powerful vocals into a throbbing club track in "Sweet Nothing" or Dizzee Rascal's playful raps back in the day on "Dance Wiv Me", the Scottish producer has always maintained a talent for linking up with some of the hottest artists on the scene. Most recently, he's come together with the HAIM sisters on "Pray to God" which, unsurprisingly, is doing well online and on radio.

Festival Review: T in the Park (Day One) ft. Biffy Clyro + Pixies - Kinross-Shire, Scotland (11.07.14)

Now in its 21st year, T in the Park sits as the most established music festival in Scotland and alongside Glatsonbury, Leeds and Reading as one of the most well known annual music events in the United Kingdom. Its 2014 event - headlined by the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Calvin Harris, Scottish heroes Biffy Clyro, Pixies, Elbow and many more - marks something as the end of an era for the event. Like many world renowned festivals before it, the time has come for the event to move to a new home. But not before they give the venue - Balado Airfield in Kincross-Shire - where it's been held for 18 years, a proper goodbye.

Festival Review: Primavera Sound 2014 ft. The National + Cut Copy + Haim and more! - Barcelona, Spain (28 to 31.05.14)

For people travelling or living in Europe it can often be a hard decision on which festivals to attend over the Summer? You are spoiled for choice with festivals every weekend, each having insane line ups and being held at amazing venues. Allow me to supply one such festival for your consideration: last weekend was the annual Primavera Sound festival held in the ‘sunny’ (extremely rainy) Barcelona, Spain.

New Music Video: Haim "If I Could Change Your Mind" (2014)

Taken from Haim's 2013 debut long player Days Are Gone, the track "If I Could Change Your Mind" has been followed up with an 80s aesthetic music video. Consistent with the 80s feel, it's lo-fi and a touch corny, but very well choreographed. View it below:

Festival Review: St Jerome's Laneway Festival - The Esplanade, Fremantle (08.02.14)

Laneway Festival returned to Western Australia for the 5th year on Saturday, moving from its home in the Cultural Precinct, to the leafy surrounds of Fremantle’s Esplanade park. In a period of uncertainty for festival organisers Laneway seems to be going from strength to strength consistently selling out across the country, even in Perth! But then with a line-up boasting buzz bands like Haim, Lorde and Vance Joy it’s hardly surprising.

Photo Gallery: St Jerome's Laneway Festival (Part Two) - Harts Mill, Port Adelaide (07.02.14)

We bring you the second part of our gallery of the St Jerome's Laneway Festival from Adelaide this weekend, featuring the likes of Danny Brown, HAIM and CHVRCHES, the latter of which were only able to treat Adelaide to both an acapella and full delivery of "The Mother We Share". What a performance it was, though!

Festival Review: St Jerome's Laneway Festival - Harts Mill, Port Adelaide (07.02.14)

It's another blistering hot day in Adelaide and again, the festival lovers were out in force despite the sun beating down on us all. This time, the St Jerome's Laneway Festival was held down in Port Adelaide for the first time, a result of a much needed venue change from the UniSA campus site in previous years. Many were apprehensive, given the distance from the city, but I think the Harts Mill site is going to be a great venue to host the festival, with some small changes.

Festival Review: St Jermone's Laneway Festival - Sydney College of Arts (02.02.14)

Floral headpieces and loud button-ups painted the grounds of the Sydney College of Arts in Rozelle for St Jerome's Laneway Festival. It was the type of highly likeable festival atmosphere that it is all too rare nowadays, and even with the event selling out, those who wanted their space could easily seek out a private patch of grass where they could still enjoy the abundance of music on offer.

Live Review: St Jerome's Laneway Festival - Footscray Community Arts Centre, Melbourne (01.02.14)

2013 marked my first visit to St Jerome’s Laneway Festival and to date, it has been the best Australian festival I have ever been to. I found it hard to imagine how they could possibly top a line up that boasted the likes of Alt-J, Bat For Lashes, Flume and POND but alas, Laneway have outdone themselves yet again in their 10th year. Having only been twice, I would still most certainly consider myself a Laneway rookie, so instead of a report on my day, I present to you the five main things I learnt from Saturday’s event.

Live Review: St Jerome's Laneway Festival - RNA Showgrounds, Brisbane (31.01.14)

Each year when the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival lineup is announced initially there’s both the excitement of spotting a band you’ve always wanted to see and also a vague general intrigue for the few other names you recognise from some blog or other. By the time the festival rolls around however, it’s impossible to imagine what your record collection would be like without half of those bands you were mildly interested in just a short time ago.
