Many of you will probably have heard of this project by now, and it is certainly a remarkable proposition; Rewiggled: A Tribute to the Wiggles gathers together twenty of Australia’s most popular artists from the last ten years and has each of them tackle a song from the catalogue of the world’s most popular children’s group.

Larry Heath recently caught up with Cameron Potts of Sydney band Dead Letter Chorus, to chat about their new album Yearlings and plenty more. Here's what went down:

How are you doing?

Yeah I’m good, really good, been buried in band related business and kinda working on a new song.

A day after Old Man River’s memorable performance for the Dalai Lama, it was announced that Gabrielle and Cameron from DEAD LETTER CHORUS will be joining Old Man River as special guests for his East Coast 1000 Cranes Tour.

Inspired by his heartfelt initiative ‘1000 Cranes for Japan’, Old Man River will be performing songs in an intimate acoustic setting from his albums ‘GOOD MORNING’ & ‘TRUST’.

Dead Letter Chorus - Yellow House (2011 Single)

Dead Letter Chorus have somewhat burst onto the Australian music scene, all of a sudden playing festivals like Woodford Folk Festival and Peats Ridge, featuring in national television ad campaigns and touring across the country. Their new single "Yellow House" seems to perfectly represent their usual sound - it has beautiful harmonies, a steady acoustic guitar driven pulse and speaks of lazy summer afternoons.

Dead Letter Chorus to tour with Jason Collett and Zeus in January!

The sumptuous second taste of Dead Letter Chorus' upcoming album, Run, Wild has become (if you excuse the pun) a runaway success. The song's existential yet hopeful sentiments have clearly tapped into the zeitgeist and in to the hearts of the general public thanks to a lot of love from national broadcaster Triple J as well as a slew of community radio.
