Common and Talib Kweli announce Australian tour

Hip hop legends in their own right, Chicago’s Common and Brooklyn’s Talib Kweli are both heading down to Australia for a four-date tour this May. Known for their strong poetic lyricism and influence on the more socially conscious side of hip-hop, this will be a good chance to see two of hip hop’s most undeniable emcees in a double-headline show of sorts, with Talib performing first and Common second.

Common was last in Australia for the inaugural Soulfest, cited as a highlight on all legs of the tour for his infectious energy on his stage, showcasing not only his most recent album, 2014’s solid Nobody’s Smiling, but also a sizable chunk of classics. Kweli, on the other hand, hasn’t been down here for quite some time, with his scheduled appearances as part of last year’s ill-fated Soulfest as Black Star with Mos Def sadly cancelled.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale on March 29th and to the general public on March 31st. You can grab them for all dates HERE
