BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB: EXTRA SYDNEY SHOW

One of our favourite bands in the world right about now, Bombay Bicycle Club, are finally making a visit to Australia supporting Elbow in March. And now they've announced some headline shows of their own, too!

Jumping on the bandwagon, here, in no particular order, are twelve Australian bands we're looking out for in 2012... five bands from overseas we're predicting big things for here in Australia... AND a couple of Australian bands the rest of the world should have their eye on! Madness! Read on...

Elbow will make a much anticipated and welcome return to Australia for four special shows.
Fellow Brits and special guests Bombay Bicycle Club join Elbow on tour in what will be their first Australian shows. Tickets go on sale 9am Tuesday December 6.
While we awaited our smoothies in Toronto, I caught up with London buzz band Bombay Bicycle Club, on the first day of their North American Tour. Let the Big Day Out 2012 rumours begin?

Having already taken in a whole heap of music during the day, my Friday evening remained a bit of a blank canvas right up until the night began. My first destination: Bright Eyes announced a ‘pop-up show’, however as essentially no one was let into this event, and gauging that fact pretty quickly, I made tracks back to Stubb’s for what would be my favourite night of music of the festival.

After 3 days of some amazing music, excellent panels and the usual networking opportunities, it was time to bid farewell to our time in Toronto*. But today it was Australia’s turn to truly shine, with its annual Aussie BBQ showcase.
