2012 will see another huge line up of Australian talent headed for the USA and Canada The Aussie BBQ turns 10 years young, celebrates with shows in LA, Austin as part of SXSW, Toronto as part of Canadian Music Week and New York this March.

The Aussie BBQ has come along away since the inaugural event at Emos Annex in 2003 that featured 8 of the 9 Australian acts invited to play the South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Conference.

Gotye, Hermitude and Ball Park Music take out the 2011 J Awards

Last night, in front of a packed industry crowd at Sydney's Oxford Art Factory, the 2011 J Awards winners were announced, and Gotye was crowned the big winner of the night - winning the J Award for Australian album of the year after Art Vs Science belted out their hit single "A.I.M Fire!", which was coincidentally nominated for best Australian music video of the year.

Melbourne outfit Big Scary are without a doubt one of Australia’s most talented and diverse bands. The two-piece act, consisting of Tom Iansek and Jo Syme, recently picked up a nomination for the J Award (Triple J’s album of the year) for their debut record Vacation. And boy do they deserve it.
