Art vs Science and Weird Al help kick off the relocated Falls Festival in Victoria

The first night of the Falls Festival was brought to a thrilling end with Art vs Science closing out what was Lorne’s scheduled night at Mt Duneed Estate, just outside Geelong.

With just a few days to relocate an entire festival due to recent bushfires, the Falls crew wrangled something spectacular for their first night. While the main Valley stage was still being erected and other kinks still to be ironed out, people turned out early to see the likes of El Vez, Fleetmac Wood and of course, Weird Al Yankovic perform during the festival’s annual Boogie Nights – this year themed ‘Tinseltown’.

The headliners doled out a set full of early faves, not to mention some cuts from their new album, a great indicator of what’s to come from the Art vs Science album tour early next year.

Stay tuned to the AU for ongoing coverage from Falls in Victoria and around the country. Last minute $99 NYE tickets have been released for the Victorian event in support of the Bushfire relief fund, for what is otherwise a sold out event. More details at fallsfestival.com
