Watch our exclusive interview with Director Richard Linklater on Texas, College and Everybody Wants Some!!

Dubbed the spiritual follow-up to the classic Dazed and Confused, award winning Writer and Director Richard Linklater is taking us back to the days of our youth – this time, the first days of College – in the acclaimed film Everybody Wants Some!!, which is screening as part of Sydney Film Festival and will be officially released later this month.

Earlier in the year, I had the chance to sit down with the director to chat about the film. We find out why he keeps his films in Texas, talk about the “freedom” of College life, the movie’s amazing group of actors and find out if there’s any easter eggs worth looking out for that herald back to Dazed and Confused. Everybody Wants Some!! is released in Australian cinemas on June 23rd. It is also screening as part of Sydney Film Festival. This interview was filmed during SXSW 2016.
