The Game Awards: Where and when Aussies can watch today’s stream live

The Game Awards are taking place in LA and they’re pulling out all the stops this year. This year’s event will stream across almost every social media and streaming site available.

Seriously, it’s everywhere. We’re talking Twitch, Youtube, Facebook Live, Steam, our buds over at IGN and Gamespot, the Playstation Store on your PS4 and MIxer on your Xbox. You literally can’t miss it. But when can you, an Australian, watch it live?

The only thing stopping you from watching is the potentially inconvenient local time of 11:30am AEDT, today, Friday December 8. But honestly that might give you even more reason to watch if you can get away with slacking off at work. Otherwise you’ll be able to catch up on the event as a Friday arvo treat, and lets be honest, 11 in the morning is better than getting up at 2am like we usually have to for this sort of thing.

For your convenience, here’s an embed of the Twitch stream below:

I, for one, am hoping Horizon: Zero Dawn takes out Game of the Year but it’s up against some stiff competition. Check out the other games nominated here.

Will your favourite game win out? Will we get a sneak-peak at some upcoming 2018 games? I guess we’ll just have to be watching to find out.
