The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro final trailer hits the web

While his mates over at Marvel studios hog the spotlight, it can be easy to overlook the fact that arguably the most popular Marvel character is returning to our screens in a few weeks’ time! The sequel to 2012’s successful reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro looks set to be another massive hit across the globe. Director Marc Webb is already set to direct his third Spider-Man film for release in 2016, so the studio must be pretty happy with what he’s done with the second film.

Here’s the official synopsis:

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realise that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.

Sony has released the final international trailer for the film, and it’s a doozy. The film looks like it will continue the blend of high quality action and the winning chemistry between Garfield and Stone that was so successful in the first film.
