Stan offers a sneak peek of Sherlock‘s highly-anticipated fourth season

Today Stan Australia launched an exclusive sneak peek of Sherlock‘s highly-anticipated fourth season, offering only 15-seconds of a scene creating hype for fans.

With Stan being home to the popular BBC series, Sherlock‘s fourth season will be available for streaming on January 2, 2017. It will contain three feature-length episodes. Its episode premiere (“The Six Thatchers”) will immediately be available soon after its UK launch. Both episode two (“The Lying Detective”) and three (title TBC) will be fast-tracked on January 9 and January 17 respectively.

While the teaser doesn’t reveal much, it showcases both Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman) sitting opposite one another at 221B Baker Street. Both of them are surrounded by rising waters and scattered objects. Resonating the theme of “this is not a game anymore”, Sherlock‘s stars and creators have claimed that this season will be much darker compared to the material they’ve done previously.
