Season Five of Arrested Development may begin filming in January 2017

Fans of Arrested Development rejoice! Jeffrey Tambor has stated that a new season of the hit TV show may commence filming in January.

Appearing on the Today show, Jeffrey Tambor was discussing his Emmy acceptance speech. The discussion eventually veered onto the eventual filming of season five of Arrested Development where the actor stated that “There’s always chatters to go work in January”.

This is not the first time that someone attached to the show has suggested that season five  will begin filming in January. Series creator Mitch Hurwitz stated that “it looks like shooting would be at the start of 2017”.

Though nothing has been officially confirmed, both creators and actors suggesting the same thing means that the show will probably commence filming early next year. The fourth season debuted on Netflix in 2013.
