Ritz Cinema to host AICE Israeli Film Festival

For any of you that like to add variety in their life when it comes to films, then this festival is for you! Ritz Cinema will be hosting this year’s AICE (The Australian Israel Cultural Exchange) Israeli Film Festival.

The festival will be showing the best titles across Israeli cinema. Over the last few years, the festival has shaped local audiences all round, bringing in a “remarkable renaissance” experience for filmgoers. The Israeli Film Festival aims to breakdown the barriers between Israel and Australia while also increasing a mutual understanding in their relationship.

The line-up of films will be a mixed bag of romantic comedies, mystery, horror, drama as well as some favourable picks of independent titles. Described as “veterans of the stage and screen”, Gila Almagor, Oded Teomi, Devora Keidar are just some of the new faces and voices of the future of Israeli film.

The festival kicks off on Thursday 15th September with drinks and canapés before a special screening of FIREBIRDS, which was nominated for 10 Israeli Academy Awards last year.
