PAX West 2016: Telltale launches third season of The Walking Dead this November

Telltale Games have used their PAX West 2016 panel to announce the release date for its much anticipated third season of its popular The Walking Dead series, officially titled A New Frontier. Since its E3 unveiling in June, news about the release window for the game’s next installment was kept tightly under wraps. , developers finally announced the news of the game’s November premier.

The Walking Dead’s third installment takes place four years after the outbreak in Season One and will serve as a continuation of its previous seasons, bringing back the teenaged survivor Clementine as well as some brand new characters. Players will take control of Clementine, as well as new protagonist Javier, a man struggling to keep his family together.

“As a harrowing and horrific drama, ‘A New Frontier’ will explore beyond what it means to survive in a world ravaged by the undead, and will see our characters confronting the new rules of order and justice in a land being brutally reclaimed and rediscovered by what’s left of humanity itself,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games.

Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier will premier on PS4, Xbox One, PC and mobile platforms. The game will also be available on a special ‘Season Pass Disc’ which will include the premiere episode for the third season, as well as access to all of season three’s subsequent episodes as they become available for download.
