Oz Comic Con Brisbane and Sydney Commence Guest Announcements

As the days continue to pass we move slowly away from the wintry delight of Oz Comic Con Melbourne and look ahead to the Brisbane and Sydney events to be held in a hopefully sunshine-y spring time. And a couple of the names are local home grown talent.

Most recently starring in the critically acclaimed (we gave it 4/5!) Netflix sci-fi noir thriller series Altered Carbon is Dichen Lachman. You may also recognise her from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and also Dollhouse. Lachman has been announced as the first guest for the events being held in September.

Following on from her announcement, the event has also announced world renowned cosplayer Yaya Han. With over 375 costumes completed to date, and her own cosplay focused fabrics and patterns line, Han will be sharing her knowledge and expertise on all things cosplay with fans.

And of course returning to complete the trifecta of all three shows will be comic artist Wayne Nichols. Nichols’ largest feature work to date was an enormous Spiderman mural that featured as part of the GOMA Marvel exhibition last year. He is also known for his work with Marvel Comics, IDW on an Orphan Black series, and also as the creative talent behind the official Oz Comic Con Collector’s Pass artwork.

Oz Comic Con will be held in Brisbane and Sydney in September this year.
Brisbane – Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre – 22nd and 23rd September 2018
Sydney – International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney – 29th and 30th September 2018
Tickets will go on sale from 12th July 2018.
