New trailer and poster reveal the adaptation of Bill Bryson’s A Walk in the Woods

A WALK IN THE WOODS

Directed by Ken Kwapis and starring the incomparable Robert Redford, Nick Nolte and Emma Thompson, last week the Australian trailer and poster for A Walk in the Woods were released. The film is a comedy based on the book of the same name by travel writer Bill Bryson.

Here’s the synopsis of the film:

A Walk in the Woods is a hilarious and touching comedy based on the book by celebrated travel writer Bill Bryson. Reluctant to settle into retirement, Bryson (Redford) challenges himself to hike the legendary Appalachian Trail – over 2,100 miles through some of the most spectacular and rugged wilderness in America.

But the peace and tranquillity he hopes to find on the grand trail proves elusive when he agrees to make the journey with his old high school buddy Katz; a wisecracking, larger-than-life personality who is out of shape and arguably out of his mind.

As the two men set off into the wilderness, they encounter an assortment of eccentric characters, wild animals and perilous weather in an epic journey that will test the limits of their friendship.
