New clips and stills give us a sneak peak at upcoming Australian film Spear

The upcoming Australian film Spear follows Djal on a journey from the outback to the streets of Sydney in an exploration of a young Aboriginal man’s adherence to tradition in a modern world. Director/ choreographer Stephen Page transforms the distinctive choreography of his original 2000 theatre piece into a film adaptation with minimal dialogue and a combination of traditional and contemporary music.

Spear screened last year at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Adelaide Film Festival and the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. And today, in advance of the film’s release next week (March 10th), a series of clips, trailers and stills from the film have been revealed to give us a taste of what to expect from the anticipated Australian production.
