Motorola releases two new smart phones and a wide array of modifications

Motorola have just released two brand new smart phones in Australia: the Moto Z and Moto Z Play.  In addition to these new devices, Motorola also revealed Moto Mods, a collection of interchangeable necks that transform your smart phone. Here’s everything you need to know about them.

Moto Z

At just 5.2mm wide, the Moto Z is the world’s thinnest smart phone. Made from military aircraft-grade aluminum and stainless steel, the Moto Z features a 14cm 5.5″ Quad HD AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and a massive 4GB of RAM. The Moto Z also comes with a 13MP camera with optical image stabilization and laser autofocus, and a front facing 5MP camera with front flash and a wide angle lens. Also, the Moto Z comes with a fingerprint reader that you can use to instantly wake up your phone.

Most importantly, the phone comes with a 2600 mAh battery that provides users with up to 24 hours worth of mixed usage battery life.  Lastly, the Moto Z comes with a water-repellent nano-coating that can keep your phone protected from rain, splashes or spills. Just don’t go deep sea diving with it. Available with a massive 64 GB of internal storage, the Moto Z also supports a further 2TB via a micrsoSD card.

Moto Z Play

The Moto Z Play aims to corner the battery hungry market, featuring a lightweight, thin design with an aluminum fame and glass back. The Moto Z play operates on a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM. A rear 16MP laser autofocus camera is included in the device, with a wide-angle, front-facing camera with LED camera present on the front. The main selling point of the Moto Z Play though is its long lasting battery. Its 3510 mAh battery battery has a lifespan of 45 hours of mixed usage.
