Mitch Pileggi talks The X-Files revival, Supernatural and why working with Michael Bay was so much fun

Mitch Pileggi is best known for his role on The X Files playing the stern but fair Assistant Director Walter Skinner and boss to Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson). With the Season 10 X Files revival earlier this year, the show has had an explosive comeback, allowing Pileggi to reprise his role. Before his appearance at Oz Comic Con Sydney we sat down to discuss his work.

In Part 1 of our interview with Mitch Pileggi we talk about what it felt like to return to The X Files. The fact that the fans were so passionate about the revival. The intricate relationship Skinner had with Mulder and Scully and also thematically delving into paranoia and conspiracy.

In Part 2 of our interview with Mitch he tells us why his role on Sons of Anarchy was one of his most challenging. How being on Supernatural was like coming home working with the same crew involved with The X Files. The best things about voice acting and getting to work on a blockbuster film with Michael Bay, as well as what’s coming up for him.

Brisbane and Queensland fans have the opportunity to meet Mitch Pileggi at Oz Comic Con Brisbane this weekend, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September 2016 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. For more information or to purchase tickets go to the Oz Comic Con website.
