Hot Docs Film Festival is coming to Australia

Palace Cinemas and one of the world’s leading documentary festivals Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival has confirmed that they will be bringing a new Hot Docs festival to Australia, June this year.

Hot Docs is North America’s largest documentary festival with their 23rd annual edition occurring in Toronto this April. Screening more than 200 documentaries from around the world, this year they have selected Australia as its special country of focus.

Moore said that the alliance with Hot Docs will be a direct funnel to the best of the best in documentary making. With the festival confirmed, Moore sees this as the beginning of a long and healthy relationship between Hot Docs and Australia.

It’s a welcome opportunity to bring Hot Docs’ outspoken and outstanding sensibilities to Australian audiences.”
