Here’s the full list of Oscar nominations 2020: Joker in the lead

With the Critic’s Choice Awards and the Golden Globes now done and dusted for another year, it’s time to look toward the Oscars – up next in an unusually speedy awards season.

The list of nominees is always a great way to shape up your viewing to-do list before the early February ceremony, and reflect on the past 12 months of outstanding filmmaking.

To no one’s surprise Todd Phillips Joker leads the nominations race here with 11 in total, including nods for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Lead Actor.

This year’s list won’t do much to dispel discussion surrounding inclusion, seeing as there’s 10 nods each for typically masculine films 1917, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and The Irishman. Furthermore, the most obvious snub is Greta Gerwig whose Little Women only received 2 nods – Best Picture and Screenplay.

Notably, the highly acclaimed Parasite from Bong Joon-ho received six nominations, including Best Picture and International Feature Film.

You can see the full list of nominees below. The 92nd annual Oscars ceremony takes place in Hollywood on Sunday 9th February (U.S time).
