Final Fantasy XV celebrates going gold with stunning new cinematic trailer Omen

After a long stretch in development, Final Fantasy XV has announced it is going gold. To celebrate its send off to manufacturing and November release date, Square Enix has dropped a CG short film titled Omen, that will leave you breathless.

The 4.5-minute short film was created by 3D animation studio DIGIC Pictures (The studio who worked on Kingsglaive) and is inspired by the world and story of Final Fantasy XV. According to Square Enix the nightmarish trailer depicts an omen for main character Noctis’s father, King Regis, of a future that must be avoided.

In addition to going gold, Final Fantasy XV has announced their move toward creating a Season Pass and DLC. The season pass will focus on three original episodes that take place during the events of Final Fantasy XV, in each episode players will be able to control Noctis’ best friends. Titled, Episode Gladiolus, Episode Ignis, and Episode Prompto, each ep will be available for individual purchase.

Final Fantasy XV is also introducing an expansion Comrades that offers a brand new online co-op mode for up to 4-players. Comrades will allow players to take control of Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto as a group. The expansion will be available both for digital download and will be included in the season pass.

Final Fantasy XV will be available on November 29th on Xbox One and PS4
