There has been a few Mad Max: Fury Road teasers but today the full length trailer has exploded across media and it’s a dirty, gritty, fiery and frenzied 2 minutes and 30 seconds. With explosions, scavenged steam punk-esque vehicles flipping all over the place, an electric dust storm tornado and a guitar flame-thrower. Director George Miller is the mastermind behind the Mad Max franchise and returns us to the post-apocalyptic world of the Road Warrior in this next installment.
Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max (Tom Hardy) believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa (Charlize Theron). They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
Mad Max: Fury Road will be released in Australian cinemas on 14th May 2015 through Roadshow Films.
