An exclusive preview of Miss Saigon 25th Anniversary to come to Rivoli Cinemas in October

There are few projects that have successfully captured the era of international tension following the Vietnam War and likely none as well as Miss Saigon.

The Broadway show that first showed way back in 1991 (making it the 13th longest running Broadway show) will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a film production shot in front of a live audience during the 25th anniversary performance at London’s Prince Edward Theatre.

To honour the long running Broadway hit, Village Cinemas Australia will debut an exclusive preview of the Miss Saigon 25th Anniversary Performance at Rivoli Cinemas on Saturday, 8 October and Sunday, 9 October.

The Gala Performance will also feature appearances by original cast members Jonathan Pryce and Lea Salonga, who were both awarded Tony Awards for their performances.

‘The musical tells the tale of the doomed romance between Kim, a bargirl orphaned by war, and American GI Chris, as they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon.’

Miss Saigon 25th Anniversary will be screening from October 15 and tickets can be purchased at www.villagecinemas.com.au/movies/miss-saigon-25th-anniversary .
