AMC to showcase their new thriller The Terror at SXSW with immersive polar experience

Next week those lucky enough to be heading over to SXSW during it’s first few days will have a much better insight into new AMC thriller The Terror thanks to the network’s fully immersive multi-sensory activation. It seems HBO aren’t the only ones using the enormous festival to promote a forthcoming show, with the home of shows like The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad hoping to highlight their chilling thriller series, which will debut with a two-hour series premiere on Monday 26th March at 9pm ET/PT.

The network is inviting everyone in the Austin area to experience “The Terror” as each guest enters a purpose-build Arctic setting as the real-life crew of the show’s ill-fated expedition through a desolate polar landscape. The show, which had Ridley Scott, David Kajganich and Soo Hugh serving as executive producers, follows a British Royal Naval expedition as they set in sail in search of the Northwest Passage before encountering vicious conditions, limited resources, increased pressure, fear of the unknown, and attacks by a mysterious predator.

Between the hours of 11am and 11pm on both 10th and 11th March, AMC will host this unique experience at Austin’s 300 Colorado Street (3rd Street between Colorado Street and Lavaca Street). For more information head on over to the official SXSW website HERE.
