These five NSW hotels are getting pup-friendly for International Dog Day

To celebrate International Dog Day (which is today, you’re welcome), various IHG hotels across Australia are opening up various ways to pamper the many good boys and girls that have been mostly stuck inside right along with us. Your dog needs a staycation too, so take note of all the hotels introducing ways to pamper your pooch to make up for whatever 2020 has become.

And that’s everything from a luxury dog-friendly high tea on one of Sydney’s best rooftop decks, to a special Pizzas & Paws menu in Kirkton Park.

All of these will be available up until the 26th September, so you’ve plenty of time to tempt your furry friend out of the house.

Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley’s Dog-ustation

You just know your dog has been FOMO’ing while you’ve been steadily reappearing in society, sipping across all the fabulous wineries in the Hunter Valley. Take the pup out to Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley where the hotel has teamed with Gourmet Dog Barkery to put together a special five-course menu with dog-friendly treats including carob and peanut butter pupcake with cream cheese frosting and other treats.

It’ll be hosted outdoors on the property’s Merlot Lawn and consist of two different sittings – one for small-to-medium dogs at 1pm, and another for larger dogs at 2pm. Although do note that it’s only available for one day, so you better get in fast. Tickets are available here.

voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley’s Pizza & Paws

If the doggo prefers pizza over pupcakes, head along to vovo Kirkton Park Hunter Valley instead, will be fully highlighting their pet-friendly guest rooms where dogs get their own bedding, water bowl and treats. Make sure you’re stay lands on a Friday though, because the on-site Epoch Pizzeria will each week host “Pizza & Paws” where four-legged guests receive a special treat on arrival.

InterContinental Sydney Double Bay’s Rooftop High Tea

Throughout this pup-friendly ordeal, the ritzy InterContinental Sydney Double Bay will be moving their beloved High Tea outside, straight up to their breezy rooftop pool deck which offers magnificent views across the bay. Here, dogs can join in on your High Tea session, with their own treats, scented towels, and puppycino. Note that the High Tea is only available Monday through Sunday from 12pm to 4pm.

Crowne Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach

The newly-refurbished Crowne Plaza right opposite Coogee Beach has a new pet-friendly policy, and up until 26th September any guest who stays a night can bring along their pooch and snuggle them into their very own dedicated dog bed while they enjoy their own bowl and welcome treat. Just use “Dog’s Welcome” in the booking request.

Holiday Inn Sydney Airport’s Biggles Bar & Grill
