Multi-award winning Irish Whiskey, Teeling Whiskey, launched their entire range in Australia last year, and they plan to launch a new limited edition expression, The Revival 15 Year Old Single Malt in the near future, just in time for St Patrick’s Day and released to commemorate their opening of the first new distillery in Dublin in 125 years, which was realised last year. Now with an established presence on the local market, the brand are taking things up a notch with a takeover planed for Bar 1806 mid-March, falling on St Patrick’s Day eve, 16th March.
For the set price of $40 per ticket, the bar takeover will offer Melbourne’s Whiskey lovers with a night of cocktails, canapes, and Teeling tastings. Cocktails will be handed out on arrival, following by Irish inspired bite-sized eats and a tasting of five of the best Teeling whiskies, including the aforementioned Revival 15 Y.O.
This year has so far brought some big recognition to Teeling as they have gone on to win four accolades in the first stage of the 2016 World Whiskies Awards. The brand is also shortlisted for a 2016 business award from the prestigious Financial Times. Winners for both awards will be announced on the same date as the St Patrick’s Day Eve party.
