Sydney’s legendary Pub Life Kitchen opens second venue in Rozelle

If you know your food in Sydney then you know that Pub Life Kitchen is pretty much the pinnacle of both pub food and this burger craze that has been sweeping the city for the past few years. Owner and Chef Jovan Curic has made a name for himself with some of the most loved burger creations the scene has ever seen, and so them (finally) deciding to expand to a second permanent venue (after numerous successful pop-ups and collaborations) comes as some very welcome news.

The PLK team will be serving up classic pub food and their iconic burgers from the Ruby L’otel in Rozelle as of today, pumping out a classic bistro menu for lunch and dinner seven days a week with dishes like Braised Beef Cheeks with truffled potato purée and Serrano ham, a rotating Pie of the Day with house pastry, peas, and gravy, Pumpkin & Walnut Tortellini with sage and burnt butter, and Chargrilled Pasture Fed Sirloin Steak with smashed potatoes and horseradish butter.

Of course, burgers need to be on the menu as well, and Curic will be bringing three of his best to PLK Rozelle. The O.G (salt aged patty, American cheese, McClures pickles, lettuce, tomato, and PLK Aioli) will be hitting heavy on the menu, right alongside The Bird (buttermilk fried chicken, McClures pickles, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and green sriracha mayo), and a special Rozelle exclusive, The Don Ruby (salt aged patty, American cheese, McClures pickles, black garlic, and truffle aioli). Those who went along to Burgerpalooza the other week should be familiar with The Don, a burger which proved so popular at the inaugural burger festival that Curic had but no choice to put it on the menu.

In true pub fashion, PLK Rozelle will feature rotating specials for every night of the week, which include Half Price Mains on Mondays (an opening special), Cheap Steak Tuesdays, Kids Eat Free on Wednesdays, Chicken Dinners (whole charcoal chickens and unlimited $4 sides) on Thursdays, “Burger Experiment” on Fridays, Pub Brunch on Saturdays, and ParkMeats (whole animals roasted on spits) on Sundays, where diners are encouraged to pull up in the nearby park and make a picnic of it (BYO blankets).
