Sydney’s A Moveable Feast event proves to be more than just a regular dining experience

The first of 4 events that make up the A Moveable Feast series of dining experiences occurred on Saturday, 12th March on Sydney’s Bondi Beach, and kicks of a series of events that will take Sydneysiders on seasonal dining journeys.

The most recent event sent a warm (because it was certainly that!) farewell to summer.  Guests donned pastel beach chic attire, revelled under the stars with the likes of TV presenters Kris Smith and Laura Csortan and musician Daimon Downey and were entertained by Australian artist Jake Meadows.  In keeping with the theme of decadent dining, the menu for the evening, designed by hatted chef Lauren Murdoch from the Sydney Opera House Concourse venues, included poached chicken with roasted eggplant, du puy lentils, eggplant caviar, sesame yoghurt hazelnuts and pastel meringue kisses.  Beverages included AIX Provence Rose and Piper-Heidsieck Champagne.

Event director Antoine Bessis says of the dining experiences, “A Moveable Feast is a celebration of all that is unique about Sydney. It’s a chance to play with friends and like minded people”.  It will also be a chance to celebrate the city’s beauty in different seasons throughout the year.  The next event will be held in winter, with a date and location yet to be announced.  It will be followed by a Halloween dinner party in Centennial Park.  Each event will serve to showcase the work of a different renowned chef, with celebrities also in attendance.
