SBS to debut new series about Noma Australia plus second season of Poh & Co.

Thursday nights on SBS just got a whole lot tastier with two exciting food programs airing back to back, added to the channel from May 19th. The premiere of Noma Australia, documents the inspirational journey behind the highly anticipated opening of the restaurant with the same name at Sydney’s Barangaroo. Right after, charming, warm and disarmingly honest Poh Ling Yeow, returns with new adventures with her colourful family and friends as well as whole new batch of delicious recipes.

Noma Australia – Thursdays 7:30pm

With exclusive access, the cameras follow René Redzepi and his international team as they forage, taste and imagine their way through an avalanche of flavours and moments discovered on their Australian adventures in a three-part series. The journey follows the relocation of one of the world’s greatest restaurants from Copenhagen to Sydney to create an original menu that reflects the unique and vibrant Australia landscape – from finger limes and bush bananas to fresh snow crab with fermented kangaroo. The stories behind the dishes will be revealed, and audiences will be invited to experience just what has inspired the Noma team in their storied expedition across Australia and to Sydney.

Poh & Koh Season 2 – Thursdays 8:30pm

In season one, Poh and her family and friends set up a market stall, built an edible garden and invented the world’s first fridge tattoo! A year on, Poh returns with even bigger plans. Watch her as she expands that humble market stall into a five tent food extravaganza, realise a long-term dream, opens a cafe at the Adelaide Central Markets, and develops a range of rather eccentric designer ice cream flavours.
