Salt Meats Cheese launch epic truffle menu for Drummoyne and Broadway (Sydney)

Being that it’s truffle season, and pretty much everyone with a palate can’t get enough of the rich ingredient, renowned providore-cafe-bar Salt Meats Cheese have unsurprisingly gotten involved with the delicacy in a big way, bringing a dedicated truffle menu exclusively to their Drummoyne and Broadway locations.

The very mention of truffles is enough to send most people into a salivating mess, so SMC doing up these lavish dishes is of definite interest, especially for those who aren’t keen on driving down to truffle hot spots like Canberra to get their fix.

On SMC’s special menu are six new seasonal items all putting a heavy focus on using truffles in different ways. First you have the platter of Charcuterie ($33) with truffle pecorino, truffle brie, truffle salame, truffled mushrooms, and toasted focaccia. Then there’s also the starter options of Wagyu Bresaola Carpaccio ($24) with free range egg, black truffle, mayo, and shave manchego, and a side of Truffle Fries ($9.50) with parmesan and aioli.

Bigger dishes move up to the Pizza ($25) with wild mushrooms, truffle salami, taleggio, and watercress, and the Pasta ($28) with tagliatelle, fresh porcini, pancetta, thyme, truffle pecorino, and butter. SMC aren’t neglecting salad-lovers either, with a $19 salad of wild rocket, walnuts, pears, truffle pecorino, parmigiano, and blasamic.

Note that the truffle menu is available exclusively every Monday only.
