Raffles International Showcase details revealed for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia

Local institution Raffles College of Design and Commerce will once again be enjoying a big presence at this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia as they plan to showcase seven designer’s Resort ’19 collections. With an aim to lift the best emerging design talent around, Raffles will be building on an already rich legacy at the fashion event, which includes a history of showcasing over 50 graduate’s design collections, including both local and international talent.

Aiming at disruption and innovation, the Raffles International Showcase will be comprised of collections from seven Raffles graduates, displaying ready-to-wear pieces including womenswear, contemporary menswear, couture design, and street wear.

“The chosen designers have an incredibly bright future ahead of them and the standard of work is a testament to the talent and dedication of Raffles students nationally and internationally”, said Nicholas Comino, Program Director for Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing at Raffles College of Design and Commerce. “We believe that the Raffles International Showcase really demonstrates our fashion-forward thinking and exposes our students to industry leaders. We hope to give them the best possible support to create and present their individual brands throughout this process, so that International Showcase can act as a real head start on their exciting fashion futures”.

Graduates showcasing at the event include Carley Bishop (Carley Rose The Label), Ginan Tabbouch (GTAB), Ingrid Husodo (INGRID HUSODO), Ken Quoc Khang Nguyen & Tiana Ha Phuong Thao Van (VALUSTA), Leah Williams (Leah Williams), Mary Thanh-Ngan Quach & Alexandra Uyen Nguyen (A.M), and Vivian Tung (VIVIANTUNG).
