Manly go-to Papi Chulo, which has become one of the more popular casual dining destinations for Merivale, has edged into spring with a new three-course set menu offering going by the name of “Who’s Your Papi?”. They’ll be making this one available for three days a week, from Tuesdays through Thursdays with the option to better access their extensive menu through a reasonably priced concept that also comes with one of their cocktails, beers, or wines.
Set at $45, guests will get a start of Pea Guacamole with tortilla chip and then be able to choose two courses from a generous list, along with their drink – smart money says go straight for the Pina Cravada cocktail. Available to choose from are the likes of a Malaysian Chicken Platter with tortillas and lettuce, Mennonite Farmer Sausage with bread rolls and BBQ sauce, Wagyu Brisket with bread rolls and BBQ sauce, and Mussels with smoked garlic aioli and pommes frites. All main dishes come with curly fries and Vietnamese slaw.
The final choice is dessert, with options including a Monster Cookie with nutella and caramel swirl ice cream, Coffee Profiterole with coffee ice cream and hazelnut crunch, and Crema Fritta with quince and rhubarb ice cream.
No bookings are required for the new menu, which you can view in full HERE.
