Paddington’s Italian Bar are serving alcoholic pizza this month (Sydney)

The simply named Italian Bar in Paddington and owners Flilppo and Simone Franchi have picked up a pretty sweet partnership with Italian liqueur Amaro Montenegro, tasking them with producing pizza dough that’s just a tiny bit out of the ordinary. Come Wednesday 22nd February, the homely venue will be throwing a “Made With Montenegro” party, in which they’ll be serving pizza made with Amaro pizza dough, which basically means the dough used to create their light, fluffy pizza will now be infused with the sweet-to-bitter flavour profile of the 130 year old Italian liqueur.

A secret blend of 40 herbs and spices are used in the ingredient for Amaro, so it’d be interesting to see how this adds to pizza as the brother-owners and their staff work their way around this multi-level venue with Montenegro cocktails, Montenegro pizza and bresola.

Entry is set at $25 for the first cocktail plus access to food all night – for tickets email [email protected] or call (02) 8021 3346.
