Nutella-Palooza is Australia’s first festival dedicated to Nutella and chocolate

Read that headline again. Are you really surprised? No? Thought not. Nutella has long been an obsession down under, and it seems like that undying love for sweetened hazelnut chocolate spread has snowballed into something incredible; a food festival titled Nutella-Palooza. We have officially hit peak Nutella.

Italian company Ferrero first introduced the spread in the mid 60s, likely unaware that five decades later a team of dedicated, Adelaide-based Nutella fans – collectively known as Splash Adelaide – would decide to throw a “celebration of all things Nutella and chocolate” in Bonython Park on Saturday 9th April, calling on a team of food trucks, artists, chocolatiers, and bakers for a one-day, no-holds-barred, showcase of just what this spread is capable of.

The event will be free entry for all-ages, and will feature cooking demonstrations (with Nutella), bakery stalls (probably with Nutella), chocolate stalls (with Nutella), food trucks (with Nutella, and hopefully some savoury treats), art installations (likely inspired by all things Nutella), and “much more”. Considering the craze surrounding Nutella, the possibilities really are endless.

Nutella-Palooza
Saturday 9th April, from 11:30am to 5:30pm
Bonython Park, Adelaide
