Mt. Erica Hotel announces weekly food truck festival: “Off The Beaten Truck” (Melbourne)

The newly-renovated Prahran venue, Mt. Erica Hotel has started a weekly Off The Beaten Truck food truck festival, adding to its already stellar lineup of events, curating a line-up of the city’s best mobile food stores every Sunday in High Street car park, bringing in three or four trucks each week.

The festival also features entertainment in the form of two local bands, performing well into the night.  Drinks will be available from the bar, and guests can enjoy their beverages and food in either the courtyard, the car park or inside the venue itself.

Owner Mark McIlroy says, “We wanted to create a unique celebration for locals, something that embodies the Mt. Erica brand and brings it to life. We’re all about quality food and music, as well as having a good time, so Off The Beaten Truck is a perfect representation.”

“There’s nothing really similar in the local area so we’re excited to offer our regulars a new and fun way to wrap up the weekend”, says Mark.

Mt. Erica Hotel recently changed their team, and developed three new offerings – Austin’s restaurant, Billie’s Bar and Austin’s Pantry and Wine Bar.  It was also recently reinvigorated with an element of Spanish flavour in its look, whilst still remaining true to the 160-year-old history of the building.

The Off The Beaten Truck food truck fiesta is free, and the food trucks and bands will rotate weekly to give visitors variety.
