Mr Burger team with StreetSmart for new burger “Mr Nice Guy” (Melbourne)

Melbourne food truck Mr Burger have been in the headlines as of late with their ‘win free burgers for life’ competition which required entrants to legally change their surname to Burger to win, only to have that competition swiftly shut down by state government. The situation obviously hasn’t slowed the team down though, with them this week announcing a brand new addition to their straight-forward menu of burgers and sides: Mr Nice Guy.

Mr Nice Guy is designed as a simple bacon cheeseburger that has been created with a charitable cause in mind. For every one of these burgers sold, Mr Burger will be donating $1 to StreetSmart, a well known organisation aimed at supporting people experiencing homelessness through local grassroots projects.

From 5th to 31st July, the funds raised from the Mr Nice Guy burger will be going to three local initiatives which care for the well-being of people experiencing homelessness or those who are at risk throughout Victoria: St Mary’s House of Welcome, Southport Community Housing Group, and The Big Issue. All three have been chosen based on their tireless and effective contributions to the local community.
