Melbourne’s getting a three day traveling champagne and chocolate festival

Leading boutique Champagne brands will be showcased at a forthcoming traveling wine festival, planned by Wine Republic in partnership with KoKo Black to leap from suburb to suburb in Melbourne, across three days. The free-entry series of events promise to showcase hard-to-find bubbles that have been carefully selected from some of the best boutique, small-production growers across the globe.

Wine Republic will be using all three of their venues – Windsor, Fitzroy and Northcote – to host the festival, jumping from one to the other across all three days. It will start at Wine Republic’s Windsor store on Friday 9th December, opening doors from 6pm-8pm to give a little insight into some of the bubbles that are often only found in the treasure chests of serious collectors and sommeliers around the world. Saturday 10th will see the event jump over to the Fitzroy store for a three hour afternoon event starting from 2pm, and it’ll wrap up on the 11th in Northcote, also from 2pm.

Boutique brands planned for the showcase include Lamandier Bernier, Delamotte, Henriot, De Sousa and Thienot. Don’t be ashamed if you haven’t heard of them before, Wine Republic have made sure that these aren’t big name champagne brands sold all over the place.

The other side of the festival, chocolate, will be upheld by the award-winning team at KoKo Black who have designed a selection of treats to pair with all the champange at each event.

Entry to each leg of the traveling champagne and chocolate festival will be completely free. For more information head to the official website HERE or the Facebook event HERE.
