Melbourne to Sydney for $25 as Tigerair kicks off sale to celebrate 25 millionth passenger

To celebrate flying 25 million Aussies on 200,000 flights round the country, Tigerair have launched a national sale on 8000 fares, with one-way flights going from $25. The ’25 Millionth Passenger sale’ kicks off from today, and runs until midday Saturday 9 September.

The four day sale features fares across 23 Tigerair domestic routes, with flights available for travel between late January and late June 2018.

From 2 May to 27 June 2018, flights from Sydney to Gold Coast are going for $25 one way, while Sydney to Perth and the Whitsundays are going for $75. Cairns to Sydney and Melbourne are both going for $75 one way, while Melbourne to Sydney is $25 one-way.

Tigerair Australia’s 25 millionth passenger Jaden Hubbard was met upon arrival at Melbourne Airport before his flight home to Adelaide this morning by Tigerair cabin crew and Toby the Tiger. He walked away with a $500 travel voucher, and was provided with a special Tigerair chauffeur on an interesting mode of transport to celebrate the major milestone.

Tigerair spokeswoman Vanessa Regan says the airline is thrilled to celebrate flying 25 million passengers today, at the same time enabling more people than ever before the ability to travel by air, because they can.

“Today’s celebration sale proves Tigerair once again delivers fantastic value for bargain seekers wanting to explore more of our own backyard more often, without breaking the bank. With more than 8000 one way fares available starting from $25*.”
