Mary’s burgers are headed to the Gold Coast for a pop up (QLD)

Following a successful return to Splendour in the Grass earlier this year, Sydney’s premiere grungy burger joint Mary’s will once again be heading up coast, but this time they aren’t stopping until they hit the Gold Coast. Owners Jake Smyth and Kenny Graham will be taking their cult burgers and popping up for one night only at rowdy Nobby Beach bar The Cambus Wallace, setting their sights on October 9th as one epic booze-slash-grease fueled party with Mary’s available for both eat-in and takeaway for hungry locals.

Taking over the grill at the nautical-themed bar, the Mary’s crew will be flipping from 4pm to around 9pm, accompanied by what they are calling the “Metal Maids”, which we assume are Mary’s take on the Gold Coast’s scantily glad meter maids.

“Mary’s has a great energy and a lot of similarities to the Cambus Wallace in the way it begun with a few mates wanting to do something rad and fun”, said Michael Tramonte, owner of Cambus Wallace and bass player for the almighty Delta Riggs. “To me bringing Mary’s up the Gold Coast to do a take-over was a no brainer. Nothing beats a good old sloppy Mary’s burger when coupled with a few lagers, the Goldy is going to lose it over this.”
