The States have been loving Marlon Williams so far this year, most recently falling further for the New Zealander while on tour with Sam Beam and Jesca Hoop. Come September however, American and Canadian fans will have some unmissable opportunities to see Williams and his band, The Yarra Benders, perform in a headline capacity.

On tour over a run of 14 shows in September and October, Marlon and the band will be fitting in some special festival appearances at Ottawa’s Cityfolk Festival, Toronto’s Urban Roots Fest, AmericanaFest in Nashville and finally, the huge two weekender that is Austin City Limits. Joining them on the road will be Julia Jacklin, another artist who has been making all types of good impressions overseas recently.

The announcement comes off the back of the band’s latest TV appearance, having just wrapped up a taping of the Conan O’Brien Show in Los Angeles. Check out Marlon’s recent solo appearance on Later…With Jools Holland below and keep an eye out for the band on the road if you happen to be Stateside this September & October!

Marlon & The Yarra Benders are next back in Australia for Splendour in the Grass. Tickets for the American/Canadian shows are on sale from Friday and further information can be found HERE.
