As part of their new “Social Weekend” series, Chippendale favourite Kensington Street Social have introduced an interactive cocktail trolley to cart around the venue each Saturday and Sunday, offering to encourage guests to try their own hand at creating both classics and new concoctions.
From this Saturday 18th March, diners will have access to a fully customisable workshop of spirits, mixers and garnishes, with which they can work with KSS’ bartenders to come up with their own signature mixes.
“It’s a personal and accessible approach, giving the customer the opportunity to create their own cocktail and learn a few tricks as they watch it being made in front of them”, offered Bar Manager Richard Meads. Though for those too indecisive to create their own, KSS’ current cocktail list is quite the stunner, with the likes of Millionaire (Ron Zacapa 23, Sloe Gin, Apricot Brandy, Lime Juice) and Lost in Thyme (Don Julio Blanco, 20ml Lemon Juice, Elderflower Liquor, Fresh Thyme) listed.
With the new offering comes a new menu as well, focusing in on modernised breakfast classics like the Scrambled Organic Eggs with smoked bacon, black pudding and house made beans, Warm Poached Rhubarb with berries, rosemary and spelt granola, and Prawn Toast ceviche with fennel, smoked oyster emulsion and trout caviar.
