Hunter Valley Wine & Food Festival returns for two months of events (NSW)

The nation’s oldest wine region is set to showcase the best of its wine and food culture, as the Hunter Valley Wine & Food Festival kicks off in May and June of 2016.  Visitors to the region can take part in over 70 culinary events and activities, with additional activities also taking place in various venues and wineries.

It’s now well known to Australians that just two hours north by car from Sydney will bring you into the Hunter Valley, a world-famous region which boasts over 150 wineries and cultivates an exciting food and wine culture. Known for its natural beauty, it also offers a wide range of accommodation choices, and has been seen as one of the most quintessential getaway destinations in NSW.

The festival will feature masterclasses from the region’s winemakers, tours of vineyards and practical, hands-on cooking classes to polish up skills in the kitchen.  If you’re more of a “sit back and relax” type of foodie, feel free to enjoy some of the Hunter’s top wines and cheeses over a gourmet lunch at a premium restaurant.

Some of the events planned include:
