There’s no shortage of hotel options in Niagara Falls, Canada. Some trade entirely on their proximity to, and view of, the falls. Others offer a more boutique option, their own fun attractions (like a water park), and some also operate as a Casino. And then there’s the Sheraton Fallsview, which sits at the base of the veritable amusement park that is Clifton Hill.
Sitting in the same footprint as the 1925 Foxhead Inn, which heralds the start of Clifton Hill’s 100 year history, the hotel underwent a massive $50 million dollar overhaul that was unveiled in 2021.
While not the closest in proximity to the Falls, as the name suggests, they do very much trade on the ability to get incredible views of the three waterfalls that make up Niagara: the Horseshoe Falls in Canada (also known as the Canadian Falls), and the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls on the U.S. side. Technically this hotel sits closer to the U.S. Falls than the iconic Canadian Falls, but rest assured you’ll see – and hear – all of the Falls – from the rooms that advertise it.
Peak the view from our room, below.

Pretty magical, eh? Few things beat waking up to that, or falling asleep to its sounds. It’s also nice to see it from an angle with virtually no other buildings in your view (with the exception of the launchpad for the Falls zipline).
Checking In
After jumping off the WEGO bus with our bags at the base of Clifton Hill, we strolled into the hotel. “Welcome to the new Sheraton Fallsview” is still written on its doors, as they continue to show off and celebrate the renovation. Meanwhile, a striking wall of blue light sits behind the check in desk, evoking the sprit of the Falls.

The lines moved quickly and the staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant.
The Room
Rooms here are cozy, and well designed, with a Juliette balcony built into the window, giving you unparalleled views and sounds of the natural wonder. It’s the only hotel with views of the Falls to offer such balconies as a standard amenity.
Two chairs and a table sit against the window, and there’s even a “fireplace” there, which adds some ambience to the room – as well as heat (if you need it).

The beds were very comfortable, with four good sized pillows per bed. The massive Smart TV opposite comes with Netflix, Amazon and YouTube built in. You just need to connect with your own respective account to watch it. Though given we had the view of the Falls, we didn’t pay much mind to what was on the television.
Under the TV, two small complimentary bottles of water were supplied, as well as Tazo teas and coffee.
The renovation really seemed to about making these rooms as comfortable as possible – with variations of greys as the colour scheme. A quick look at the bathroom also shows you how fresh the design feels, with fantastic lighting, and all the amenities you could need during your visit to Niagara Falls.

And yes, that’s a spa bath, which added nicely to the levels of comfort. As did the water pressure of the shower above it.
You’ll find fantastic refillable Gilchrist & Soames toiletries (Body Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner) on the shower wall. Gilchrist & Soames’ liquid soap and moisturizing lotion sit by the sink, also in refillable form, as hotels continue to move away from the one and done disposable model. Though they do provide a single serving of mouthwash.
Activities at the Hotel
Everything about the hotel room was a standout, and amongst the best I’ve experienced in Niagara Falls. But they don’t just provide great rooms, and incredible views. They also have a rooftop pool with incredible views. In fact, it’s the only outdoor pool with views of the Falls in the whole city.
The Fallsview Rooftop Pool & Bar is open from late May into October, where guests can enjoy panoramic views and poolside service. Private cabanas are available for hire, and even non-hotel guests can enjoy the facilities, for $30 for adults and $15 for children. More details about that service can be found HERE.

The pool access comes in return for the resort fees that you pay to stay at the hotel. And for this, you’ll also be given coupons for beer and wine, as well as for the on site dry sauna and eucalyptus-scented steam room at the Christienne Fallsview Spa, located on the 14th floor. Also check out Sweet Jesus in the lobby, behind the Starbucks, Freshii, and souvenir store, for some fantastic ice cream. They seemed to regularly be giving out free samples, too.
Also on site is the flagship Italian restaurant Massimo’s Italian, which also offers spectacular panoramic views while you enjoy a fantastic menu from celebrity chef Massimo Capra. In addition to regular service, for which anyone is welcome to make a reservation, Massimo’s offers “Culinary Experiences” which takes you on a journey through different regions of Italy. The event series is hosted by Massimo himself.
The next Culinary Experience will take you to the Amalfi Coast on 5th June 2026. Head HERE for details on the packages they sell, which includes a night’s accommodation if you want it.

You can read about our experience at one of the “Culinary Experiences” last year HERE.
The hotel technically sits as part of a larger complex, which you can see in the photo at the top of the article, the Falls Avenue Resort. This resort incorporates the Sheraton Fallsview, The Brock Niagara Falls-Fallsview, the Clifton Victoria Inn At The Falls and the Skyline Hotel & Waterpark. Yes, there is a massive waterpark attached to the resort that can be enjoyed year round.
There’s also the Niagara Brewing Company, a Casino, the Niagara Distillery and Hershey’s Chocolate World, where you can get yourself some authentic smores and plenty of Hersey’s merchandise.

And that’s not even getting us started on everything that’s sitting on Clifton Hill – which has everything from roller coasters to 4D rides, Ferris Wheels and dinosaur mini golf. Sheraton Fallsview may be a few more steps from the Canadian Falls, but it really is right in the middle of all the action.
Final Verdict
There was nothing not to love about this beautifully renovated hotel. From the spa bath to the beds, the room was incredibly comfortable. And the views are second to none.
The staff were fantastic, and the on site amenities both within the hotel, and within the wider resort, ensured you had everything you could possibly need within arms length.
And we had such a fun time at Massimo’s Culinary Experience.
Honestly with it all so close, you’ll struggle to leave the resort to explore the rest of the city. After all, when your room gives you this view of the nightly light and firework displays over the falls – why would you leave?

Well, I do recommend walking down to the Niagara Parks Power Station Tunnel to watch the fireworks, which opened around the same time as this renovation. That was a really special experience, too. And don’t forget about the brand new attraction Niagara Takes Flight. But that’s another story.

Getting There
Getting to Niagara Falls is an easy under two hour drive or train/bus trip from Toronto, Canada. Or about half an hour from Buffalo/Niagara Airport. Once you’re in Niagara, you can take the WEGO bus straight to Clifton Hill, and the Sheraton Fallsview. We recommend getting a Niagara Falls Pass that includes the WEGO bus travel. More details can be found HERE.
Head to the official website of the hotel for more details.
