Heston Blumenthal will open four free pop-up restaurants in Melbourne from March

Food lovers in Melbourne have seen super chef Heston Blumenthal leave his mark on the city’s dining scene before, with the acclaimed Fat Duck popping up last year. Now the culinary master is set to return with four pop-up restaurants scheduled to open from early March, all in Melbourne, and all offering free food.

As reported by Daily Telegraph, the new series of Melbourne pop-ups will coincide with “Heston Week” on MasterChef Australia. Furthering the connection to the series, the location of each pop-up will only be released on MasterChef Australia’s official social media channels, just before doors open, in cryptic form.

Each of the “Hidden Heston” secret pop-ups will be set-up for one service only so you’re going to need luck and the spirit of Usain Bolt on your side to score a seat. It’ll no doubt be worth it; even MasterChef Judge George Calombaris has been quoted promising that the dining experience will be one those lucky enough to solve the clues and get the seats “will remember forever.”

NOTE: While Heston will be involved in these pop ups as part of Hidden Heston Week, he will not be cooking at any of them.
